Movies.  How ’bout it?  What are you’re top five favorite movies of all time?  I have to admit…I don’t get to go to the movies much, but I love great stories.   So which movies could you watch again and again.  Wow…this is hard for me to decide.

Here are some of my favs:

1. It’s A Wonderful Life

2. Radio

3. Remember the Titans

4. A Few Good Men

5. Field of Dreams

  5. What about…
    …Robin Williams can act IMO…
    1.The Fisher King
    2.Good Will Hunting
    3. Dead Poets Society

  6. …..”lowest movies”???? I don’t know what that means either,…..I’m going to bed.

  7. I’m not a movie guru. I don’t see many movies – and haven’t had an exhaustive career of movie watching. But, of the ones that I can actually remember their titles…
    1) Patch Adams
    2) Facing the Giants
    3) Jagged Edge
    4) The Notebook (go ahead & laugh guys… macho guys)
    5) Harry and Tonto (I don’t remember anything about it -except that 35 years ago when I saw it, I thought it was awesome)

  8. Loolerbelle: My least favorite would be:

Wag the Dog – Dustin Hoffman
    Ghost Dad – Bill Cosby
    High School Musical #whatever
    Barney Movie

  9. Anything with Robin Williams-#1 Mrs. Doubtfire
    The Notebook
    Ghost Busters
    The Color Purple
    Thelma and Louise
    Dirty Dancing
    Uncle Buck

  10. Movies I enjoy watching over and over are:

Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid
    Field of Dreams
    The Natural
    The Untouchables
    Forrest Gump

Don’t get to see many new movies, so my list is older movies.

  11. My favorites:
    Forrest Gump
    Top Gun
    The Notebook
    Facing the Giants
    It’s a Wonderful Life…..a classic!!!!

  12. My favorite:

    1. (Lonesome Dove)
    2. (Dances with Wolves)
    3. (Braveheart)
    4. (Godfather 1 & 2)
    5. (Shawshank Redemption)

  13. Most of my favorite movies are silly ones, as I get so stressed over sad or dramatic ones, it puts me in a funk the rest of the evening. For instance, lots of people LOVED Titanic….not me. Hello? I don’t swim and the mere thought of this movie freaks me out. Also, any movie where a child is harmed I just can’t do.

So my top 5…(not necessarily in this order)

    1. Dirty Dancing (nobody puts Baby in the corner)

    2. Grease ( Stranded at the drive-in, branded a fool…)

    3. Billy Madison (ok, this is not the most wholesome movie. But I can watch the edited version when it comes on cable. )

    4. Serendipity (Jon Cusack here….this is a chick flick for sure)

    5. Say Anthing (another John Cusack romance)

I thought Fireproof was great too!

  14. Amen to Forrest Gump too!
“God, please make me a bird so I can fly far, far away” was what I quoted in the crowded, 96 degree heat at Disney World a couple of summers back. 🙂

  15. 1 Brains song
    2 Facing the Giants
    3 Tin Cup
    4 Tombstone
    5 Water Boy

  16. #1 – Heat
    #2 – Tombstone
    #3 – The Godfather
    #4 – Unforgiven
    #5 – The Shootist

P.S. If you haven’t seen Heat with an Optical Surround Sound hook-up yet, dial it up! Ya’ ain’t lived, ’til ya’ do!!
