Who pushed the PAUSE button?

j0432687Ever felt like someone pushed the pause button?  That’s sort of the way I am feeling lately.  I’m not complaining or whining, just making an observation.  Have you ever just stopped and thought, wow, how did this all come to be?

We had a great Christmas and my wife, Dana said that she thinks it’s the best one in a good while.  Christmas is a great time to reflect all the blessings and memories of the past year, but it’s also a good time to evaluate and sum up all that has transpired over the year.

I don’t know…I just feel like this year someone pushed the PAUSE button and I’m ready to move forward.

Happy New Year to all!!!

  1. I here you, bro! 2008 was by far the fastest year of my life! Lulabelle and I started joking the day I got rid of the 2007 Christmas tree back in January, that we’d soon be getting a new one….and now the time has come and gone. A BLUR!
I am soo ready to get on with 2009. Already sick of hearing the doomsdayers and naysayers talk about how bad this coming year will be. “Bad=low $” in the worlds eyes. 2009 may just windup being the least profitable for most of us monetarily and ….. SO WHAT!? I am choosing to follow “God’s Economy” in ’09, not wall streets! And in that economy, spiritual profits are unlimited!
    James says:
2-4Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.
5-8If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.
9-11When down-and-outers get a break, cheer! And when the arrogant rich are brought down to size, cheer! Prosperity is as short-lived as a wildflower, so don’t ever count on it. You know that as soon as the sun rises, pouring down its scorching heat, the flower withers. Its petals wilt and, before you know it, that beautiful face is a barren stem. Well, that’s a picture of the “prosperous life.” At the very moment everyone is looking on in admiration, it fades away to nothing.
12Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.

    2009?….BRING IT ON!

  2. hey bro-

i know WHO’s got the remote and is about to hit PLAY! HE can be trusted, and I cannot wait to see how HE is going to amaze you with his timing and great plan for your life. always remember, His ways our not our ways. Yet His ways are best. Sometimes what to us seems like WHERE’s God moments, later on we discover those were GOD KNEW what He was doing moments. i can testify to that, i’ll tell you man when we sip …

    i love you bro!!
